NEWS | Montane Challenges Customers to ‘Find Your Alive’ with New AW21 Collection

British outdoor clothing specialist, Montane, has launched it’s AW21 collection encouraging customers to experience and discover more in kit designed for optimal performance and functionality.

Montane Unveils AW21 Collection

The brand perpetuates it’s core messaging of simplicity and realism with responsible innovation through new insulated and softshell jackets, fleeces, legwear, base layers, equipment, and accessories.

At the heart of the AW21 collection is the brand’s down and synthetic insulation technology set to offer warmth and peak performance through a variety of garment fills, ideal for active exploring in cold weather conditions.

Highlights from the New Range

Kit highlights include the men’s Janhukot jacket, a robust piece of ‘do it all’ down insulation, and the warm and packable Unisex Featherlite Down Pants. The Fireball jacket, available in both the men’s and women’s range, adopts a unique construction of synthetic eco insulation to regulate body temperature in colder climates.

Sitting alongside this in the range is the pairing of the Krypton hoodie and jacket, both featuring high-loft brushed lining designed to trap heat and manage moisture in changeable conditions.

The collection is further strengthened with new softshell jackets which have been designed with versatility and movement in mind. Kit highlights include the women’s and men’s Pac Plus XT jacket – a light, packable and fully featured mountain shell which has been made using 100% recycled GORE-TEX PACLITE® PLUS technology.

Montane’s Global Marketing Manager, Matthew Hickman, commented: “Our collection for AW21 brings comfort, durability, and technical performance to a range of protective clothing. We want to give our customers the confidence to find wild landscapes and bold adventures; to discover what makes them feel most alive. It is all about the thrill of motion and exploring the environment while wearing the best kit possible.”

extensive athlete testing to chamber lab research, the kit has been
designed in a way which allows you to carry less but do more, to make
multi-activity adventures more accessible, and to
make the most of your time in the outdoors.”

Further developments are seen in the legwear collection focusing on durability, performance, and comfort for all terrains. Kit highlights include the men’s Terra Edge pants, a tough, lightweight scrambling or climbing pant, and the women’s Ineo Tough pants which are super stretchy performance mountain leggings.

The men’s Dragon Long Trail tights and the women’s Katla Long Trail tights are light and stretchy trail running tights designed specifically for mountain runners. The tights use ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarns, which are tough yet have a reduced environmental impact.

Other kit highlights include the VIA Shift glove, a lightweight glove with pull-out windproof mitts. The VIIA Stretch beanie and the VIA Stretch headband are warm yet lightweight, cold-weather trail running accessories. The THERMO LITE stretch fleece with anti-odor treatment, wicks moisture away so it dries quickly.

Unifying the brand’s strapline of ‘Further. Faster.’ and it’s philosophy of needing less to do more, the trailblazing AW21 collection offers less complexity and distractions with more focus, commitment and adventure.

The full A121 collection will be available for purchase from August 2021 either online or at or at selected retailers.
